Seven Towers Remote Control Club
Ramskill Field - Background
Seven Towers has had its airfield at three different sites. The first field that was used was located just south of I-20 and east of 287. A new field was located in just south of the Kennedale dirt race tracks. This field is where Seven Towers stayed until 2004. The land was leased and the owners sold the land to a developer. Seven Towers was on the hunt for a new field.
Seven Towers was without a field for approximately 9 months in 2004 while a new field location was found. A contact with C and D landfill finally opened up an opportunity for a new field. A lease agreement was worked out with C and D in December of 2004. After this was done, the work to complete a new field was started.
Much work was completed by C and D which Seven Towers is very greatful for. A new entrance to the field was provided along with grading of a new airstrip. The slides that follow show the developement of the new field.
