- Plane must be stock high wing or low wing Rookie 40
- Modifications under the covering are builder's choice
ie: strengthening, lightening, etc.
- Landing gear, spinner, engine mounting as desired except:
main landing gear wheels must be at least 2-1/4" dia, ¾" wide. No wheel pants allowed.
- Engine- STOCK .40 OS FP or (TT GP 42, Tower .40, Magnum GP 40, or OS LA-40) with STOCK muffler (any baffles may be removed).
- Prop must be stock (black) Master Airscrew 10 x 6.
- Points will be awarded for each race as follows.
- Place of finish: 1st (5 pts ), 2nd (4 pts), 3rd (3 pts), finshed (2 pts), started (1 pt).
- Cuts inside the pole: Minus 1 point for each cut.
- Early Start: Minus 2 points.
- Flying Behind the flight Line Once is a CUT, flying behind the flight line on two different laps is a ZERO!
- Races will be 10 laps, counter clockwise around two pylons. The start and finish line is even with the main taxi/access ramp.
- Chief Judge will call 5 minutes, at which time pilots may start engines and launch at their convenience. When all planes are airborne, or
at the end of the five minutes, the judge will call 1 minute to start. He will then count down 30 sec, 15, 10, 5,4,3,2,1, Start. Pilots may then
cross the start line and proceed.
- Chief Judge will count laps for the lead plane, and determine order of finish. Pylon judges will record cuts at their respective pylons.
- Minimum aircraft weight without gas is 3 lbs 12 oz.
